but what of life whose bitter hungry sea
flows at our heels, and gloom of sunless night
covers the days which never more return?
ambition, love and all the thoughts that burn
we lose too soon, and only find delight
in withered husks of some dead memory

hmmm what do u think about mags???

well frankly, i used to think its kind of nonsensical and only bo liao ppl and lowly class ppl read such stuff to entertain themselves and most are juz tabliot news which drives to change ppl's lifestyle and habits juz to boost the sluggish economy.
for ex... one day they will say caffeine is bad for health... and then a few mths later... maybe cos of the shortage of demand due to influence by the news and stuff... one day the mag report,'cafferine makes one younger!' k maybe its a little exaggerating... but u muz agree that youngsters love to google over stars and their newest toys and dressing... all the mags is about merchandise... and so i thought...

juz on thurs... forest bought 8 days form our heartlander store=OCS One and only megamart;the gift shop'which is actually a small minimart.i was reading the economist at that time.... and he made a corny joke,' u nerd siah, nv see bookie read such cheem mag b4' so my usual reply,'go screw the jungle lah... hhaha... and wat the f**k are u reading.'k i nv seen a 8 days mag for very long...the news' glenn ong propose to jamie yeo' caught my eye. well i won't deny that i have great respect for glenn ong cos i think he is one of the most intellectual djs around... at least he doesn't juz speak off his mouth like other djs...and i think they make rather cute couple... a great contrast... one intellectual, one ...

then i flip[ thru the other pages...thr was a page about this local photographer. well he currently ahs an exhibition at esplanade... his photographs are quite renown... u will have seen in many countries and our motherland. have u noticed the hermes posters in paragon and on the strs of london and hongkong. the artistic angle taken? the famous one whrby the model pose with the blouse juz lying on the body, with the cold look of the patroner with her hair fluttering qith the wind? well i like that pict... i use to go hunting high and low on its postcards.. cos in my personal opinion its photography is of a cutting edge to the photography. it shows a sense of confidence and serenity, bringing out the effect the designer wants on the clothes very well..and it was done by our local man who left singapore with only an O level cert at AHS.

his way of handling the media is quite professional too. he takes time to know about each and everyone of them even to the extent of know the sch they attended... wat they like to eat their idea of fashion and stuff like that b4 engaging into an interview proper. its a real contrast of the rich and famous who always claim they have lack of time to do so. and he is really down to earth... he speaks of how asians will have a cutting edge over the whites in the competitive designer world cos asians are more hardworking... and once they make their mark and they retain their quality... they are treated as pearl in the industry, unlike the whites who are less pro in many ways but ironically, their work are seen at a higher level in our asian countries. it juz brought a shimmer of light to me... don't u agree that whenever an angmo comes to singapore..he is always treated with high respect and everyone thinks he mr knows it all.

that article juz brings out everyone i want to read. about life in the states... cobntrast in ideas, his exp and some inspirational ideas to survie in a foreign market.

then on tyhe topic health, its topic was a person's face and wat it means. being a social drinker and surrounded by friends who smoke and drink... i was intrigued by its analysis on how the diff unwanted pimples and oil lying around your face show wat u lack in. for ex... black rings round your face means u are prone to dehydation... i believe in that since i have black rings and its a known fact i am prone to heat injuries. and pimples on face is a result of smoking a lot.yeah i nv seen a smoker with a smooth face b4. dots and marks on the forehead means your gull and bladder are not able to clear the sewage properly. burning ear means a congestion the liver... and dots groing between your eyes means u have been drinking oo much.

well perhaps i believe only a few percentage of it but the analysis is still kind of interesting.

well i was really satisfied after reading the mag... think i will start buying issues from now on.

# dinner at park view hotel
had a sumptous meal today. was a buffet style meal which my parents gladly paid $210 for. haven't ate a meal with my whole family, including my bro's gf for A long time. last time i ate with them i was in TST.

my father made a joke today... lots of jokes actually we could have choke on our meals. first was an old man who stuff his napkin down the opening of the collar... being a bit the pa jiao... my father thought he was stuffing a chicken instead of the napkin. then thr was this lady who piled the food so high and neat...my father said maybe its cos she plans to play mahjong with it. k his hasn't being so corny for a long long time/... maybe its cos of the comppliment of the the stuff.

cos my bro and his gf, and i came at diff time... when my parents first entered the cafe the stuff thr were thinking they may be courting, or have a child of maybe 5 yrs old. then my brother came in and they were like wah you son is so big already ahhh...then when i came in... cos i was wearing a suit cos gonna meet friends later... they were like ' wah and a even older son somemore, when were u all mariied??? at 18???that made his day siah,. i swear... and it made mine too... nv had such great time for a long time... adding the fact that i manage to get someone to watch spiderman2 with me, even bought the tix liao hahahaha.looks like my oakley does make me look smarter like wat most ppl say.

# portugal VS ENGLANd
sad ahhh... england is out again. this yr will be one of england's tip top, finest moemnts.well in skill and exp wise, think they have improved a lot. the likes of rooney, becks, steven(def the king of mid field)..

quite interesting if u ask me... to analyse football from the diff leagues... then to the major cups and u kind of have the intuition of who will win...like my friend forest who make a good sum of $400 last week.but of course we watch cos of the thrill of the game... not the money

hands on with pugilistics this week. really siong siah. my first opponent was kelvin tay... weighing 75 kg... this guy's first blow would hvae caused an instant knock out. was lucky to escape a few hits on the head.

then...in the 65kg cat... spared with wei huang my platoon mate. had a few good rounds with him. perhaps i thought he was like kelvin... so from the start didn't give chance... planned and execute the attack str away. damn tiring siah... one matchis 2 min... by one min... i was missing a lot of blows cos he keeps dodging it... tiring siah..
felt stupid though... was damn shag by the 5th round... didn't help when lta stanley extend the last match to 5 min. was like dizzy the whole night

but its a great sport which i won't mind venturing into. it combines endurance, skill(cos of the diff stroke u can execute), and ability to think and stay awake after opponents' offences. cos u wouldn' wanna be punching bag for opponents.

i felt like rocky after the whole thingy. besides the part of going to fall to the grd and concass, the sense of pride and comadrie when u finish it all. nv knew wei huang well till that day. always called him farmer... realise this china boy has more up his sleeve. hahaha great time sparing with him.

# the day after tmr
watched the show with xuan yest. had lots of fun b4 that.

i bought a new hp...3120 don't ask why... its more to the side of being spendthrift... we met late in the afternoon round 2pm... hahahah and she was so excited bout seeing the 4 aust behind espirit windows. but then arhhh after circling the building round and round... we finally found out that their 14 days stay will only start at night

millenia walk had a miss and mr little singapore today. was very cute those little children... looking at them flaunting their stuff on stage... it makes me marvel and envy them... i had been to a pagnent oncde... i was 1yr old and i won the east zone comp hahhhaa. sth like cos i luv the camera...macham other children have to be coax to look at it but i was running after the camera and look like i wanna eat it. hhaha some things nv change til today. anyway wah i was impressed by how talented these contestants were. thr was this boy, the past winner,9 yrs of age, who put up a dance performance... wah u sld see how the gals look at him with a dazzle in their eyes hahah.

cos of the pagennt which took our eyes off time... we went to the movies late... missed a bit of it. well even though it seems predictable and stuff... i think the show was lucky to have a good cast. not that thier acting outstanding... but i think the gal is quite cute... and the guy was portrayed in a average joe manner which really is a good switch after watching so many stared studed shows hahha.
well and of course mankind won in the end and i had to make a rush to camp to coordinate area cleaning which was a matter of life and death( book out at stake!)

# Don't Stop Till You Hit The Distance
just this morning... i went running in the morning with guardsman jin. we ran around like 10km. Its considered short compared to other runs we use to have. along the way, jin suddenly had breathing difficulties. wah was so scray.... don't know why lah but i always think that cos this siao kia always push himself to the limits one ahhh... he might die any moment now. so i told him to stop after 3km cos he was complaining about the pain and the fucking loads he carry in army which resulted in it... but was still smiling away(cos siao) he started spouting nonsense lah..reconaissance of the past like the day we ran and lost our way(thats many yrs ago liao!), then ran few comps together....we still remain unattached ever since the day we met... juz crap along lah. 4km...6km.... then finally we hit the dist.

till today... we are still running buds. we meet up almost every sun for a run and breakfast.the feeling of waking up early run at east,... seeing all the civilians having fun is juz shiok.
its sad to see him in this state now... its juz so impt to be careful and take care of one's health when its in your hands.

someone once told me that i am like a psycho when it comes to endurance... but i juz see a reflection in the face of jin.

if u know wat is impt to you in your heart, you will nv stop till you hit the distance in anything in life.
